Planimeter is a versatile tool for measuring distance, area, and perimeter on a map. It offers both manual and GPS tracking measurement options, allowing for accurate calculations. In addition to measuring, users can also check the bearing and geo-coordinates of their location and easily share this information. Points can be labeled, saved, and shared in KML format.

This measurement app is valuable for a wide range of outdoor activities and can be utilized by amateurs and professionals in various industries such as sports, farming, landscaping, paving and construction, road building and repair, real estate, hiking and travel, fencing, lot building and planning, solar panel installation (for estimating roof area), object mapping, lawn design, and many others where land area, distance/length calculations, land surveying, or maps are involved.

The app has been successfully utilized in a variety of areas:

 <li>Outdoor activities: sports, golf (distance between two points or holes), bike tours, trail planning, traveling, quick path measure</li>
 <li>Garden and yard: landscape planning, grass cutting, lawn care and mowing, fencing, grass seeding</li>
 <li>Agriculture, poultry, and farming: harvesting, fertilizing, crops (corn, wheat, maize, beet, etc.) planning and estimation, field area measure, paddocks and area fencing for cows, horses, chickens, rabbits, etc.</li>
 <li>Solar energy: area estimation for solar panels, flat roof area estimation</li>
 <li>Construction: land surveying, road sealing, parking lot repairing</li>
 <li>Forestry: objects and tree mapping, damage area estimation, land area measurement</li>
 <li>Other: ponds size and area measurement; pole lines planning; movement tracking; getting exact GPS coordinates of way-points; fence calculation; geocaching</li>
